You might be wondering if you have ADHD, looking for a diagnostic evaluation, searching for a therapist or medication provider, or simply trying to find someone who understands how your brain works. Knowing where to begin isn’t always easy.
Our hope is that this page makes the process a little simpler.
We’ve created this growing collection of trusted Minnesota resources to help individuals, families, healthcare providers, and therapists find ADHD-affirming services throughout the state. While we can’t personally recommend every clinic listed below, we’ve included organizations that have developed a meaningful focus on ADHD and may be helpful depending on your needs.
If you know of a Minnesota provider or organization that should be included, we’d love to hear from you. Our goal is for this page to become one of the most helpful ADHD resource guides in Minnesota.
If you are a clinician, coach, or organization in Minnesota who specializes in ADHD and would like to be included yourself on this webpage, please contact us through the ADHD Center of Minnesota. We especially welcome providers who are neurodiversity-affirming, trauma-informed, and committed to reducing shame and stigma for ADHDers.

ADHD Evaluations in Minnesota
Receiving an accurate ADHD evaluation can be life-changing. A thoughtful assessment doesn’t simply answer the question, “Do I have ADHD?” It also considers ADHD alongside autism, anxiety, trauma, OCD, depression, learning differences, and other conditions that can look similar. After the diagnosis becomes clear, a high quality psychological evaluation also provides recommendations for treatment (medication, therapy, coaching, etc.) as well as academic/workplace accommodations that are specific to you.
The clinics below each have different strengths, specialties, and populations they serve.
Featured Resource
ADHD Center of Minnesota (Northfield + telehealth throughout Minnesota)

- ADHD and autism in non-binary individuals
- ADHD and autism in Black, Indigenous, and other People of Color (BIPOC)

Their assessment process emphasizes collaboration, sensory awareness, and understanding the whole person rather than simply determining whether someone meets diagnostic criteria. In addition to comprehensive evaluations, they also offer neurodiversity-affirming therapy, support groups, and ongoing educational resources for clients and families.

Medication Prescribers & Psychiatry with an ADHD Focus
Medication can be a life-changing part of ADHD treatment for many people, but it is rarely a one-size-fits-all process. Finding the right medication often involves partnering with a knowledgeable prescriber and gradually adjusting the medication type and dosage until you find what works best for your brain, lifestyle, and goals.
Many people notice meaningful improvements in attention, task initiation, emotional regulation, and executive functioning once an effective medication regimen is established. Others discover that medication works best when combined with therapy, coaching, body-doubling, improved sleep, exercise, and ADHD-friendly environmental supports.

Body-Doubling for ADHD
One of the simplest (and often surprisingly effective) strategies for managing ADHD is body-doubling. A body double is another person who quietly works alongside you while you complete a task. They don’t tell you what to do or hold you accountable. Their presence simply helps many people with ADHD get started, stay focused, and follow through.
Research and lived experience suggest that body-doubling can be especially helpful for task initiation, procrastination, executive functioning challenges, and maintaining attention during work, school, or household tasks.
Task Initiation Playtime with Dr. Nate Page
The ADHD Center of Minnesota offers a weekly virtual body-doubling group called Task Initiation Playtime. Participants bring their own work (whether it’s responding to emails, studying, paying bills, cleaning, or tackling a project they’ve been putting off) and spend focused time working together in a supportive, neurodiversity-affirming environment.
Many participants discover that simply knowing other people are working alongside them makes difficult tasks feel much more manageable.
Watch the short video below to learn more about Task Initiation Playtime with Dr. Page and see if it might be a good fit for you.
