Comprehensive ADHD & Autism Evaluations in Minnesota

If you’re visiting this page, there’s a good chance you’re thinking about a client, patient, student, or loved one who has been struggling—and you’re wondering whether a comprehensive evaluation could help provide some clarity.

First, thank you.

Referring someone for an ADHD or autism evaluation requires trust. As therapists, physicians, coaches, educators, and helping professionals, we all want to know that the people we refer will be treated with respect, care, and clinical competence.

At the ADHD Center of Minnesota, our goal is not simply to determine whether ADHD or autism is present. We specialize in helping people make sense of complex diagnostic questions and understanding how different parts of a person’s story fit together. We provide comprehensive ADHD and autism evaluations for adults, college students, adolescents, and children throughout Minnesota.

Many of the referrals we receive involve questions such as:

• Is this ADHD, trauma, or both?

• Could autism be contributing to chronic burnout or social exhaustion?

• Is anxiety masking ADHD?

• Why is a highly intelligent, successful client struggling so much behind the scenes?

• Could this be late-diagnosed autism in a woman or high-masking adult?

Our evaluations are designed to answer these questions thoughtfully and thoroughly. Clients receive not only diagnostic clarification, but also a strengths-based understanding of themselves and practical recommendations for treatment, medication discussions, accommodations, coaching, relationships, and everyday life.

Areas of Expertise

Our practice has particular interest and experience in:

Adult ADHD

Comprehensive ADHD evaluations for adults seeking diagnostic clarity, accommodations, medication support, coaching, or therapy recommendations.

Adult Autism

Neurodiversity-affirming autism assessments for adults, including women, gender-diverse individuals, and high-masking presentations.

High-Masking ADHD & Autism

Many clients have learned to compensate, overachieve, or camouflage their difficulties for years. These presentations often require a more nuanced assessment approach.

ADHD, Autism & Trauma

We frequently evaluate individuals whose experiences involve overlapping symptoms of ADHD, autism, trauma, anxiety, depression, burnout, or complex PTSD.

College Students & Young Professionals

Many referrals involve students or professionals who have excelled academically but continue to struggle with executive functioning, relationships, emotional regulation, or chronic stress.

Therapists & Helping Professionals

We have extensive experience working with therapists, physicians, educators, and other helping professionals seeking greater understanding of their own neurodivergence or mental health concerns.

Dr. Nate Page presemted at the 2026 Minnesota Psychological Association Conference, "Who Really Has ADHD? Avoiding Misdiagnosis and Missed Diagnosis in Your Clinical Practice"

His goal is not simply to assign diagnoses, but to help people better understand themselves and provide practical recommendations that support meaningful growth, healing, and connection.

What Your Client Will Receive

Many assessment reports answer the question:

“Does this person have ADHD or autism?”

Our goal is to answer a much bigger question:

“How do all of the pieces of this person’s story fit together?”

Clients receive a comprehensive written report that includes:

  • Diagnostic clarification and differential diagnosis
  • A personalized summary of strengths and challenges
  • Treatment recommendations tailored to the individual’s needs
  • Medication-related recommendations and considerations
  • Academic accommodation recommendations when appropriate
  • Workplace accommodation recommendations when appropriate
  • Therapy recommendations
  • Coaching and executive functioning recommendations
  • Resources for continued learning and support

Many clients tell us that the report becomes a roadmap they continue to reference for years after the evaluation.

Our goal is not simply to provide a diagnosis. Our goal is to help people better understand themselves and identify practical next steps that improve their quality of life.

Why Professionals Refer Here

Many therapists, physicians, and ADHD coaches refer clients to our practice because they are looking for more than a diagnostic label.

They are looking for clarity.

Our evaluations are particularly helpful when:

  • ADHD and trauma appear to overlap
  • Autism is being considered later in life
  • A client has received multiple diagnoses over the years
  • Symptoms do not fit neatly into a single category
  • Treatment has helped somewhat, but important questions remain unanswered

We approach these evaluations with curiosity, humility, and a deep respect for the complexity of human experience.

Sometimes the answer is ADHD.

Sometimes the answer is autism.

Sometimes the answer is both.

And sometimes the most valuable outcome is understanding why a person’s struggles have never fit neatly into a single diagnosis.Professional Consultation
